Job quality and labour shortages in Europe

Europe is facing persistent labour shortages in occupations that are vital to competitiveness and to the green and digital transitions. Policy debate has often focused on education and training, migration and wages as ways to ease these bottlenecks. Increasingly, however, evidence shows that job quality must also be part of the response.
